Hazaaron khwaahishen aisi ke har khwaahish pe dum nikle
Bahut nikle mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle...
A long long gap and a long long wait for a good movie watch ended with Hazaaron Kwhaishein aisi on Sunday late night. While i was roaming around in lamingtom road to find a good speaker system to regain the old happiness i used to find in the music which i lost somewhere in the mad Mumbai rush and energy, I ended up in a small shop where suddenly, I donno to my mind Hazaaron Kwhaishein aisi came from no where. I cannot say it came from no where but rather my subconscious mind which was always flooded with the so called unrealistic (they say…they) ideas and thoughts suddenly talked realistically to my brain to ask about this movie. I used to wonder how these thought process function in my brain. Before entering that shop there was not even the mere remembrance of this movie. But with the unknown spontaneity I asked the shopkeeper about Hazaaron kwhaishein aisi.It turned out to be lucky and even though there was not enough money in my purse to buy the CD, I toiled to get the money from far away ATM and got out the shop with Hazarron kwhaishein aisi and 36 Chowringhee Lane. It tuned out to be a best buy out place with the chap over there, quite knowledgeable about different customer needs, made me not only happy but kindled a revisit plan in future.
When I sat at about 12 o clock in the Sunday night to watch the movie with the fresh eagerness, I was expecting a lot from it. I was already familiar with the, to me famous song in it “Baanwra mann”. But the movie never made my expectations go astray. I came less aware of the time until the first CD got over by 1.30 am. The movie was interesting from the beginning with the mannerisms of revolution filled ignited minds of university lads in the late 60ies.I was totally engrossed in the movie which had emergency period sequences and the campus activities during those days.
I don’t have any plan to tell you the entire story, sequence by sequence. But rather I was fascinated by the protagonists in the movie, revolution engulfed Siddharth and his hard admirer lover Geeta. Kay kay Menon and chitrangada sigh delivers high quality performances.
But I was least expecting that Shiney Ahuja as Vikram will turn out to be my real hero at the end of the movie. It’s nice to see a movie where the actual hero never wins your heart but rather your mind takes a 180 degree turn at the last moment of the movie and goes for another truthful and strong character.Vikram’s failed struggles to win Geeta in the earlier part of the movie still lingering fresh in the viewers mind, emotion take its peak intense moment in the end as paralyzed vikram discloses his deep felt love for Geeta.
Director had ended the movie in such a beautiful manner so that it will last long in any off-track movie buffs mind. The last scene of the movie really touches your deep emotional chords in a soft tender way. Also the touching songs make a deep soothing impact on your ears with its beautiful lyrics, even though my hindi is little low I could manage to get a holistic idea of the song.
Its worth a watch buddy.
Hear out the song Baanwra mann and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi atleast once.
To conclude, chek out the lyrics Baanwra mann:
Bavra Mann Dekhne Chala Ek Sapna
Bavra Mann Dekhne Chala Ek Sapna
Bavre Se Mann, Ki Dekho Bavri Hain Baatein
Bavre Se Mann, Ki Dekho Bavri Hain Baatein
Bavri Se Dhadkaane Hain, Bavri Hain Saansen
Bavri Si Karwaton Se, Nindiya Door Bhaage
Bavre Se Nain Chaahe, Bavre Jharokhon Se, Bavre Nazaron Ko Takna.
Bavra Mann Dekhne Chala Ek Sapna
Bavre Se Is Jahan Main Bavra Ek Saath Ho
Is Sayani Bheed Main Bas Haathon Mein Tera Haath Ho
Bavri Si Dhun Ho Koi, Bavra Ek Raag Ho
Bavri Si Dhun Ho Koi, Bavra Ek Raag Ho
Bavre Se Pair Chahen, Baavron Tarano Ke, Bavre Se Bol Pe Thirakna.
Bavra Mann, Dekhne Chala Ek Sapna
Bavra Sa Ho Andhera, Bavri Khamoshiyan
Bavra Sa Ho Andhera, Bavri Khamoshiyan
Thartharati Low Ho Maddham, Bavri Madhoshiyan
Bavra Ek Ghooghta Chahe, Haule Haule Bin Bataye, Bavre Se Mukhde Se Sarakana,
Bavra Mann, Dekhne Chala Ek Sapna
